What’s up, installers!Today we’re talking about an awesome new feature from Uniview: App Co-Branding.
Uniview has just started rolling out a new feature using the Link Pro app which lets you show your logo during the loading screen for the app. This is a great way to enhance the customer experience with a more official presentation. So let’s jump in and figure out how to get it all set up!
Logo Setup
Let’s start with the logo. Open up the UNV Pro App, and from there click on the “me” tab. You’ll see a few options listed, but you’ll want to look for the “co-branding” tab. It will then prompt you to enter a gift code. You can get one of these from us here at Nelly’s, and once you type it in, click enter. You’ll see a page where you can drag and drop your logo.
Also, keep in mind that the code does have an expiration date. To extend the service, you can click the “extend service” button to add a new gift code to keep all the settings the same. If you don’t renew it in time, you may just need to redo this process again.
One thing to note about these gift codes: they are completely free. Seriously. However, it’s only available right now for those in our Dealer’s Program. Lucky for you, joining the dealers program is also free. Check out here to read more, but with the program you can expect some awesome benefits like exclusive pricing, life time tech support, and personal branding on select products. You'll also have access to monthly webinars where we have some big industry leaders talking about advancements being made in the security industry.
Co-Branding Methods
Alright, so we’ve got our logo and company information setup. Now there are 3 ways to get our information co-branded with Uniview’s on our customers’ apps.
Method 1: Bind when sharing a device. When you set up a device and share it through the app with your customer, you can set yourself as the O&M (Operation and Maintenance) Service Provider. Simply find the device on your Link Pro app, click “share”, and then click “O&M Service”. Then, fill out the information and edit permissions if necessary. Hit complete, and you’re all set!
Method 2: Customer Side. From the Link User App, click on “me”, then “service”, then “add service provider”. Select “O&M service provider”, look up the company name, and it should automatically populate.
Method 3: Deliver During Project. In the link Pro App: Go to “undelivered projects,” then swipe up from the bottom to see more options. Hit “deliver”, then “select device”, then “transfer”. The customer will see the installer listed as O&M. If the installer sets a logo in the Link Pro app, the customer will see the installers logo on the app launch screen alongside the UNV logo.
You are now all set. That’s how simple and easy the new co-branding feature is for the UNV Link Pro and User apps. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments below, and I’ll have our Youtube video on this linked below.
